Price-action alerts for SPY & QQQ — without the noise.
Golden Ox Alerts watches the hourly chart to set the market's direction, then hunts the 5- and 15-minute charts for the handful of classic setups that actually pay — and only in the hourly's direction. Most detections never reach you. An alert goes out only when a setup clears every quality gate — with the entry, stop, target, and three option contracts already worked out.
Failed breakdown below the session range, then a strong bullish candle closing back above the 21 EMA. Sellers are trapped; the measured move points to the top of the range.

How it works
Three stages run on every scan, all session long. The middle stage is the one that matters — it is deliberately hard to pass.
Watch everything, every 15 minutes
From the opening bell to the close (6:30 AM – 1:00 PM Pacific), the scanner reads the hourly chart first to establish each symbol's direction, then reads fresh 5- and 15-minute bars on SPY, QQQ, and blue-chip large caps like TSLA, META, MSFT, and NFLX, checking each symbol for four classic price-action patterns.
Suppress anything marginal
Every detection runs through the regime gate, the profit filter, and the direction lock. A setup that fires mid-range, fights the hourly direction, or can't pay for its own premium is logged — and quietly dropped.
Get one complete, actionable alert
A surviving setup arrives as a single message: the pattern and why it qualifies, the hourly direction it is trading with, the session range, the stop, the target, and three option contracts chosen for different risk profiles — higher delta, high gamma per dollar, and lower decay.
The four patterns
No indicators soup, no black box. Golden Ox Alerts watches for the same setups discretionary price-action traders have used for decades — detected mechanically, confirmed strictly.
Bear trap
The gates: why most setups never alert
A detection is not, by itself, a reason to send an alert. These four filters sit between the scanner and your phone — on a typical day they suppress far more than they pass.
Regime gate
The hourly chart decides whether a symbol is trending or ranging. In a confirmed range, only edge setups qualify: bearish signals in the top 25% of the session range, bullish signals in the bottom 25%. Anything that fires in the mushy middle is suppressed, no matter how clean it looks.
Profit filter
The pattern's measured move has to cover the option premium. Each candidate contract is valued at the target — spreads capped at their width — and a contract that can't clear +$0.20 at target is dropped. If none clear it, there is no alert.
Direction lock
Direction is set on the hourly chart — bullish, bearish, or range — and intraday setups must trade with it; a 5- or 15-minute signal against the hourly trend never alerts. After an alert fires on a symbol, opposite-direction alerts on that symbol are also locked out until a 5-minute close breaks the alert-time range. No trading against the hourly, no flip-flopping.
News-gap caution
When the open gaps hard on news — more than 1% or 3× ATR — the first hour changes character. Breakout-chasing setups are held back while traps and failed moves, the setups that feed on overreaction, stay live with a warning attached.
Try the gates yourself
Set up a hypothetical detection and see whether Golden Ox Alerts would send it. This is the same logic the live scanner applies on every scan.
Edge-of-range setup, the contract math works, and it agrees with the day's direction. This is exactly the kind of detection that reaches you.
Coverage
Deliberately narrow. Golden Ox Alerts only watches names with deep, liquid options chains where a measured move reliably covers the spread and premium.
Symbols watched
Two index ETFs anchor the watchlist, and blue-chip large caps are watched alongside them on the same rules — nothing thin, nothing exotic.

Early access, deliberately small
Golden Ox Alerts is in a validation period: every alert is being scored against what the market actually did, and the gates only get stricter. Access is opening in small waves to traders who want the alerts — a modest monthly subscription is planned when general access opens. Invitations are extended directly; there is no public sign-up yet.
